Aesthetic Fillings (Composite Fillings)

With the proven harms of amalgam, we’ve entirely shifted towards using composite, or aesthetic, fillings today. Our clinic does not use amalgam fillings.

There are several techniques for creating aesthetic fillings. Layering and the stamp technique are among them.

It’s important to understand that aesthetic fillings must be crafted to perfectly mimic the tooth’s natural morphology. This means we aim for such an aesthetic result that when you look at the tooth’s surface, it’s almost impossible to distinguish where the filling begins.

The stamp technique is particularly useful when there’s decay in a tooth, but its surface hasn’t been damaged. This technique allows us to restore the tooth’s original morphology precisely, resulting in a filling that shows no color difference and is virtually invisible.
