What makes a smile truly aesthetic isn’t just the symmetry, color, shape, form, or whiteness of the teeth. Images that most closely align with the golden ratio<\/b>, a mathematical term defined by the Fibonacci sequence, are perceived as aesthetic to the eye. In smile aesthetics, the golden ratio, which is pleasing and aesthetic to the eye, encompasses both the teeth and the gums. This means the curvature, shape, color, and how much of each gum tissue above the teeth is visible are all important.<\/p>\n

This is where the gums come into play. When more than 4 millimeters of gum tissue are visible during a smile, it creates a look that’s unappealing and detracts from smile aesthetics. We call this a Gummy Smile<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Getting rid of a gummy smile is a very simple procedure: gingivectomy<\/b>. When a gingivectomy was performed using traditional methods, it was bloody and difficult. Since gum tissue is a soft tissue and challenging to predict its direction, the procedure sometimes needed to be repeated later.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Thanks to the laser technology utilized in our clinic, gum operations typically take between 5 to 20 minutes<\/b>. There’s nothing to fear, and with proper hygiene, recovery is incredibly fast, leading to a comfortable post-operative period.<\/p>\n

Patients generally complete their gum shortening recovery approximately 15 days<\/b> after the procedure, revealing their new smile.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the most crucial part of aesthetic procedures like pink esthetics<\/b> is photography. However, photos taken with cell phones often don’t provide sufficient comparison or quality due to the constant movement of the patient, photographer, and phone.
