An endocrown derives retention from the pulp chamber to restore an endodontically treated tooth with extensive material loss as a single piece. Compared to full crowns, these methods can reduce circumferential tooth reduction in certain cases; however, they do not eliminate the need for crowns in every tooth. The restoration, prepared using digital or conventional impressions, fits into the missing area like a puzzle piece and is adhesive-bonded.
